For this Years Valentines Day Tablescape my inspiration came from 2 places the first, My Grandmothers pink china, They are beautiful, they are white with a pink rim with a little white and blue flower detail. I love these dishes and they remind me of my grandma and the special bond we shared.
Valentines day Reminds me of the greatest love story ever told…
The second place of Inspiration came from the Love God has for us,
Before we get to the Valentines Day Tablescape…… Let me tell you The Greatest Love Story ever told, Like any good story this story has it all. Love, Drama and a Happy Ending.
John3: 16 For God So Loved the World that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the word through him.
18. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19. This is the Verdict: Light has come into the World, but men loved darkness instead of the light because their deeds were evil. 20. Everyone who does Evil hates the Light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
The Happy Ending
21. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.
You see God LOVES us!
Depending on the translation of the Bible the word Love shows up 551 times in my bible (NIV). In the New Living Translation (NLT) 898 times! So lets think about that a minute if there are 66 books in the bible the word Love shows up on an average of 8 times. If there are 1189 chapters in the bible that means that the word love shows up in approximately every other chapter That is a whole lotta love baby!! So what does this tell us ? LOVE Is super important. Perhaps the most important thing we can learn from the bible. Here is how it breaks down.
God loves us! —-He asks us to love Him. Matthew 22:37 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind.
Matthew 22:39 and the second is like it Love your neighbor as yourself.
Above are the first and second commandments.
The greatest love story ever told is really that simple, God Loves us, we love God and we love each other.
A Valentines day Tablescape
I wanted to celebrate Gods Love for us so I created this table to Honor the greatest love story ever told.
Here is what I started with…
- a navy table square
- natural weave chargers
- white napkins
- champagne flatware
- a black tray
- a varied of pink flowers
- two chalkboards
- a pair of candle sticks
- a mix of two vases
- natural beaded napkin rings
- a sign and a cross
- boxes of candy conversation hearts
- a glass sphere
Here is how it came together
Have a seat and share a meal with your loved ones.
I love the navy and pink together! The touch of champagne makes it feel special without going over the top. and I think the box of candy conversation hearts as place cards makes the Valentines day Tablescape fun and light hearted.
